Vauxhall Combo in Newry County Down
The Combo van delivers efficiency, space, and professionalism in spades. The Euro 6D compliant 1.5 Turbo D engine kicks out up to 300Nm of torque, and you can expect fuel consumption of over 50mpg combined. A standard (L1) or long (L2) body with up to 4.4m3 of load space is available, and all models have handy features like cruise control and an 8” touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto as standard. Throw in handsome good looks and a comfortable cockpit and you have a winner.
Prime and Pro trim grades are offered. Prime has the features listed above plus air conditioning, hill start-assist, and 16” steel wheels. Automatic models also get a heated leather steering wheel, lane keep assist, and speed sign recognition (these features are also available with the Safety Pack). Pro models get 2D/3D street level mapping, a rear camera, rear parking sensors, and the FlexCargo Pack.
Design
Compact yet spacious, the Combo ticks all the right boxes. L1 models have a nearside sliding door, while L2 versions have offside and nearside sliding doors. Inside, all versions have an 8” touchscreen and space for two passengers.
Drive
The Vauxhall Combo’s 1.5 Turbo D BlueInjection engine is Euro 6D (6.4) compliant and available with 100PS/250Nm or 130PS/300Nm. The 130PS engine is also offered with an 8-speed automatic gearbox for smooth adventures.
Practicality
Load volumes are as follows – L1 van 3.3m3 or 3.9m3 with the FlexCargo pack, L2 van 3.9m3 or 4.4m3 with the FlexCargo pack. The payload capacity ranges from 950-1,002kg. A crew van is also available with seating for five people.
Living with it
There are several features that make life easier, like a full-width overhead storage shelf with ambient lighting, and two facia-mounted drinks holders. The cargo area has a low load lip and six fixed floor-mounted load restraint lashing eyes.
